Third Webinar in the WDC Learning Webinar Series: Assessment of the Impact of Climate Change on Floods in Wadi Mujib Using Hydrological Modeling
The Water Diplomacy Center (WDC) at Jordan University of Science and Technology successfully hosted the third webinar in its WDC Learning Webinar Series, titled “Assessment of the Impact of Climate Change on Floods in Wadi Mujib Using Hydrological Modeling." The webinar was held online and delivered by Eng. Oubeida Massadeh, WDC Fellow and Water, and Wastewater Specialist at the Water Authority of Jordan
Eng. Massadeh examined the projected impacts of climate change on flood patterns in Wadi Mujib using advanced hydrological modeling tools. The session provided valuable technical insights into hydrological modeling approaches and their role in supporting climate adaptation and resilient infrastructure planning in Jordan.
The webinar brought together WDC Fellows, researchers, Water Diplomacy MSc students, and national and international participants, contributing to WDC's ongoing efforts to promote knowledge exchange and capacity development on critical water and climate challenges in the MENA region. The event is part of the Blue Peace Middle East Capacity Development Project funded by the Swiss Government.
