28 Dec 2025

The Water Diplomacy Center (WDC) at Jordan University of Science and Technology successfully hosted the fourth webinar in its WDC Learning Webinar Series, titled “Transboundary Water Basins Management and its Impact on Water Scarcity". The webinar was held online and featured a comprehensive and insightful presentation by Eng. Nuha Dababseh, WDC Fellow and Water and Environmental Engineering MSc Student at University of Jordan.

Eng. Dababseh's research focuses on transboundary water governance with an emphasis on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Her presentation drew on her academic research to examine how hydrology, climate change, infrastructure development, and political dynamics intersect to shape water outcomes in shared river basins, specifically the Jordan River Basin, with a downstream focus on Jordan.

The webinar brought together WDC Fellows, graduate students, and national and international participants, supporting WDC's mission to advance knowledge sharing and capacity building on transboundary water challenges in the MENA region.
