The Water Diplomacy Center (WDC) at Jordan University of Science and Technology, under the Blue Peace Middle East initiative and with support from the Government of Switzerland, is pleased to announce that the deadline has been extended for the 2026 Call for Applications for the 𝐖𝐃𝐂 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

This fellowship is open to graduate students conducting research in water diplomacy, transboundary water management, Climate Change, WEFE Nexus, and related fields in the MENA region.

𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

• Up to USD 5,000 for MS students
• Up to USD 7,000 for PhD students
  
  𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
  
  Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran, Türkiye, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia, or Mauritania
• Be enrolled full-time in a regional or international MS or PhD program
• Have a research proposal approved by their advisor and department
• Be proficient in English
• Have not previously received any type of funding from the WDC
• Priority will be given to applicants expected to publish their work in 2026 or early 2027.
